Ron’s Steakhouse Opens at Arizona Charlie’s Decatur.
Relaxed fine dining a first at the popular locals’ hotel and casino.
Genuine Service. Genuine Quality. Genuine Ron’s.
January 19, 2011 – (Las Vegas, Nevada) - Former Las Vegas Mayor. Veteran City Councilman. Gaming Executive. But did you know Ron Lurie was once a butcher? That's why opening a steakhouse is the obvious next move for this longtime Las Vegan.
Customers and employees at Arizona Charlie’s Decatur are celebrating the grand opening of Ron’s Steakhouse, named after Ron Lurie, executive vice president and general manger of the property. The restaurant is genuine Ron, as Ron played an integral part in choosing the menu, preparing the staff and perfecting the look and feel. The result is a steakhouse that delivers a highend meal with exceptional service at a reasonable price.
Ron’s Steakhouse is nestled next to the casino floor, just steps away from the north entrance off South Decatur Boulevard. Behind the sophisticated white brick exterior is a classy, yet casual, dining room, featuring half moon-shaped leather booths and modern, comfortable décor. The opening of this new Las Vegas landmark signifies the first upscale dining experience at the popular locals’ hotel and casino. While entrées are affordable, players are welcome to use points or comp dollars to pay for dinner.
Just come hungry. Appetizers include Ron’s special Shrimp Scampi, made with jumbo shrimp sautéed gently in a garlic and white wine sauce. You can also start your meal with a fresh Caprese Salad, with ripe freshly sliced tomatoes, Buffalo mozzarella and basil, drizzled gently with a balsamic vinegar reduction. If soup is more your style, Ron’s serves a mouth-watering threeonion soup, topped with a toasty garlic crouton and melted Gruyere and Swiss cheese, along with a rich and creamy Lobster Bisque.
Having worked as a butcher in his father’s grocery store, Ron knows a good cut of beef. That’s exactly what he serves. The menu features a 22oz. Porterhouse cooked to perfection and served with a Lea & Perrins demi-glace sauce, flavorful Prime Rib, and tender Filet Mignon. Ron’s personal favorite is the 22oz. Lollipop Rib Eye, with a fried onion haystack piled high. (Don’t forget to add a red-wine demi-glace or Hollandaise sauce!)
House signature specialties, like the 10oz. Bone-in Kurobuta pork chop dressed with a cherry glaze, or the herb-encrusted half rack of lamb served with a mint demi-glace are also sure to please. So are favorites like a half-roasted chicken marinated with fresh herbs, or chicken piccatta, sautéed with a lemon-butter and caper sauce. Those who prefer something from the sea can dive into delicious pan-seared salmon, served over spinach with a lemon beurre blanc, Chilean sea bass with a mushroom ragout and saffron sauce, Alaskan King Crab Legs or lobster tail.
All entrées are served with a choice of soup or house salad. Classic steakhouse sides include creamed spinach, garlic mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms. Ron’s Steakhouse also offers a great variety of cocktails and liquor, along with a small but diverse wine list prepared by a master sommelier.
Ron’s Steakhouse features a private dining room for special occasions or business meetings. The room has an impressive 10-foot marble table and a 50-inch plasma television, perfect for presentations or entertainment.
Ron’s Steakhouse is open Wednesday through Sunday, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and closed Monday and Tuesday. Appropriate attire is required and reservations are recommended. Call (702) 258-5201.
